In Pittsburgh, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Pennsylvania on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Piccolo Forno was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. We began with the housemade bread and herb butter, which was absolutely delicious. The burrata with asparagus sauce, arugula, peas, and golden raisins was heavenlyβ¦.fresh, creamy, and beautifully balanced. We also shared the Calabrese pizza from the wood fired oven, and the combination of spice and sweet hot honey was perfection. To finish, the meat tortelli was rich, comforting, and outstanding. Service was incredible, and Max took wonderful care of us all evening. Great food, warm atmosphere, and impeccable hospitality. Highly recommend if youβre in Pittsburgh!

Did not have a reservation and decided to walk in for a party of two. We came in between lunch and dinner, so there was one other table in the restaurant. First impression was not that great as we were asked if we had a reservation as if the restaurant was busy. Then, we were sat and greeted pretty poorly. We were asked if we were going to drink so we said yes and he said that weβd needed to be IDβd, but then took our glasses for wine still. It gave some weird confusing vibes Food: We ordered the seasonal bruschetta, insalata miata, stuffed banana peppers, and Marscarpone e speck. Nothing really stood out in terms of the flavors other than the salad and the bruschetta. It felt like we were kind of looking for the flavors. However, for the stuffed banana peppers, I do have to say the meat is cooked really nicely and falls apart in your mouth. Service: It was good but nothing memorable aside from writing on our to go container of what was in it and the date which I thought was a nice touch. Originally, this was a TikTok recommendation because alla famiglia and dβanoia was closed. I donβt think I will come back based on this experience. It just doesnβt compare to either restaurants

First visit on a Saturday around 5. So glad we got in as we didn't have reservations, which are recommended. Wood oven pizzaβ₯οΈ Food and service were both excellent. On Street parking and according to Google you still have to pay to park on Saturday. It said it's highly enforced. It's 2.00 per hour, pay with parking meters. They do have a few tables on the sidewalk but we opted to sit inside. It's not very large inside so I highly recommend reservations. We had the seasonal bruschetta, speck & mascarpone pizza and the Featured Taleggio & apple Pizza. Everything was fabulous β₯οΈ including the service. Highly recommend.

The service was outstanding. We had reservations. The ambiance here is really good. Easy to carry on a conversation. I had the Lasagna and it was sooo good. Probably some of the best I've had. The server was very good and made the dinner a pleasant experience overall. If I ever return to Pittsburgh I would certainly go back!

A cute little spot with really tasty food and decent portions. One fun perk is that you can order wine from the winery next door, which pairs nicely with the meal. Tip: Either come early for dinner (around 4:00β4:30 PM) or make a reservation in advance, especially on Fridays and weekends. One small thing I noticed was that the leftover bread we received seemed smaller than what we were originally served β not sure why, but it was a bit odd. That said, the service was good and the overall experience was enjoyable!
